My name is Aggie and I am delighted to be the manager of Little Bicks Gan Yisrael.
I hold a range of childcare qualifications and was working as a Primary school teacher at first, but I realised that my passion was for Early Years.  I started as a nursery nurse and from that moment became hooked! 12 years on and I am still fascinated by these little people who with one smile can brighten your day in an instant!
I am dedicated, passionate and always prepared to go that extra mile to improve and develop the care for children, parents and staff. Being part of Little Bicks is like being part of a big joyous family. I still remember my first week, I’d never had such a nice experience as a ‘new’ person, the team was so welcoming and cheerful.
Since joining the nursery five years ago, the different roles I have experienced here have taught me so much and given me new and exciting challenges and responsibilities. Getting parents and staff trust is a really big honour.  I am now where I want to be, as a nursery manager, putting my own stamp onto what we do and providing the highest possible standards of care to our children. My primary focus is always on the children and helping them reach their full potential.
Organisation and adaptability are key. Managing a nursery goes beyond the mountains of paperwork; it requires determination and a willingness to adapt to multiple situations. Each day is totally different which makes the role so exciting and I can always expect fun and challenges to keep myself busy.
My experience has taught me that children are our future and we as role models for children need to be there for their best outcomes and to ensure that they have the resources and people to explore, challenge them and give them not only the best start in their lives but to prepare them for the future. The end of summer term is always a bit sad but also such a rewarding time to see the children head off to the next transition in their lives, knowing you have cared and taught each child to be the unique individual that they are. And when couple of months or year later they recognise you on the street is something magical.
